Don't get over to this board much but was wandering thru a gun shop yesterday and came across this 2 1/2" pre lock 686+. I can't remember the last time I saw one.

Store has a range so I took it for a test run, and shot a 7 round, 1 inch group just right of center at 15 yds.

It now resides on my hip :D

Great find. Might I ask how many binks you had to part with to obtain this little gem?

Thanks...Don't mind you asking at all, but since I'm also a dealer, lets just say I paid full tag price without hesitation.

Looks great with the stags...something to ponder.

Regardless of what you paid you got a fine revolver!
I've only run across one of those in the last 3 or so years.
Congrats!

very nice!!!!!

now i really would like to have my 686-4 snub converted to a +. i'll have to contact S&W to see if they can do it

I picked one up at Cabela's a few months back for $500. Took 3rd place in a pocket pistol match with it this past Sunday. A sweet shooter.

Great deal...I paid more. Couldn't agree more on how sweet a shooter it is.

Will try to post pics later but just got a -4 2.5" here on the forum at LNIB for $700 or so. That was about a month/month 1/2 ago. Paid it without hesitation and it is a GREAT blaster that is way more accurate than I can hold it.

But...wouldn't say that the -5 is the "red headed stepchild" either. I sold my -5 to pay for the -4 and if I had to do it over again I'm not sure I would. Reason is that ability to easily change the front sight on the -5 is a BIG deal to me. Love beads on the front end and that is no easy feat with the -4 or earlier. Have a 4" -5 that is getting that done this week as matter of fact.

So...Ladder13, hold your head high Brother, you too have a GREAT carry blaster. :)
