686 no dash

686 no dash and 586 no dash WOW

ME TOO. Just last weekend I was fortunate to find this 586 (no dash) 6" at a local gun show. Goncalo Alves "cut out" furniture and the rarer 4 position click adjustable FRONT sight. He wanted $600, settled @ $525 out the door in nearly new condition, matching box and all the goodies. Not a steal, but a good number. SWEET wheel gun, and a good companion to my March 2012 manufacture 686-6+.

No "M" mark on mine either and I don't intend to send it in for the fix. I thought I preferred a 4" barrel like my 686+, but this 6" is really growing on me. OK . . . no vulgar comments guys! ; - )

Snowman,

I bought this 686 used with the Patridge sight. From the photo you can see it is pinned. I have no idea if it came from the factory that way but assume it did. Otherwise the seller would have made a point of it. He didn't.

My 586 6" came from the factory with a Patridge sight, that is integral with the frame. It is a AAA serial number so early production. I have seen some other Patridge 686's, but they all have pinned front sights that I believe are factory from the contour of the sight and the fact that replacement Patridge sights can be purchased that fit. Most, however, have the orange insert ramp sights.

I just mailed a check last Monday for a no dash model. I hope it is close to what i am seeing in here. Nice pictures!
