686 SSR Odd Finding

Bones. I’m curious. I have a 686 SSR and want to install a fiber optic front sight. You say they can be replaced w/out tools. How? Mine seems to be behind a pin in the barrel.

You pull it backwards and lift up on the front. Some of them ware tight enough to need pliers or a vise to get them out.

This. I needed to grip it with pliers at least in part because the factory sight was bent to the left. Sights designated "Classic" or "DX" work. Several videos out there on YT.

Thanks. I thought the sights were easily changed but I saw nothing in the owners manual. I’m going to start looking for a F/O Front now.
