686 TALO Edition Barrel Swap?

I'm considering selling my Model 686 TALO edition because I find the 7-inch barrel impractical. Before I sell it, though, I wanted to see if S & W is able/willing to swap out the barrel to a 3-inch. I know the TALO edition came in 3", 5", and 7" barrel lengths, so changing it to a 3-inch barrel would keep the revolver true to the original TALO design. Do you suppose S&W would make this cost effective?

I re-barreled my L comp and it was just under 300. It was worth it to me. The deciding factor will be if they HAVE the barrel you want to install.
