today I shot my 6906 in a IDPA match. It did its job well.It handeled very nicely. It shot very accurate and was nice to wear concealed all day.I think I may switch it to my go everywhere gun.so all who are looking to get a 6906 I must say get it and enjoy it.

A 6906 is one of the best 9 mms made in my opinion. I have two and both of them are excellent shooters.

A good friend of mine has a 6906 it is only second to the 3913 in my opinion.

I have both a 6906 & 3913NL. They will be with me long after all the the other 9mm's in the safe are sold off. Great pistols. Accurate, reliable, great size for many purposes and have a look and feel that the newer polymer stuff just can't touch....IMHO.

Could ya'll give me a suggestion on a decent IWB holster for the 6906? My CCW permit came in today's mail. I guess I should have been better prepared.

I'd have to agree with this sentiment.

My issued 6906's were outstanding compact guns, with slightly greater capacity than my personally-owned 3913. I put a lot of rounds downrange through them.

Alessi & Milt Sparks both make an IWB for the 6906/3913. I prefer the Alessi Talon design over the smaller Milt Sparks that I have even though it is a larger holster.

I also have a 6904 and it is just as sweet as my 6906.Ive never had a 3913.I do have a 3953 its nice and easy to conceal but has a trigger u need to get used to.

We,too, issued the 6906 for about 8 years. Ours were issued with the 15 rd. mags and grip adapters. To be honest, at the time I wished we'd gone with the 5903. Those grip adapters were a PITA when making mag changes and could hang up on the heel of your hand when releasing, or pinch it when seating.

That said I, along with several others, feel the 6906 is more accurate than the full size guns, at least in our experience. Go figure. Although I didn't really care for it as a duty gun, the 6906 with an extended mag in the gun is an excellent choice for CCW. They are accurate, extremely reliable, and with quality modern ammo are hard to beat.

I agree with you on it being accurate it shoots better than most 5906s and 659s i have had.

I have had a 6906 since early 90s. It is an outstanding gun. I carry mine in an IWB made by southern holsters (Memphis Model). Very happy with the holster as well

I carry the 6906 IWB in a passport brand kangaroo model A3. It has a place for one extra mag. It's very comfortable. Ditto on the accuracy. It shoots tighter groups than my 5903. I only wish I had some night sights.

My first carry gun was a 6946. It was a police trade in gun and one that has 8k+ trouble free rounds down range. I was the only gun until my M&Pc that fit my hand perfectly.

It still gets carried while out biking in a fanny pack and in my BOB for my car. I have a ton of mags for it.

I will never sell mine and would love to pick up another and a 4053 to match it in 40.

I have both the 6904 and 6906!

Sadly, one will need a new home soon, probably the 6904. However, if it needed to be the 6906 I'd be very happy keeping my "04" as that was the one I had first.

This economy and__________is really hurting many, many folks!!!!

mine rides in a Kramer #3 also...........hard to improve on!

6906

Just bought a mint 6906 today for $400 with 2 mags. Is that a fair price?

I believe you made a good choice. 3rd gens are getting harder to find every day. A mint 6906 is about 500 in my neck of the woods. Mine is very used but still a great shooter. you can see my groups in the " show your target " thread.
