All 6906 are aluminum frame.

The "market price" of anything is what someone is willing to pay for it. All you can do is compare what others have been willing to pay for a similar item and decide #1) if you can get it for that price or cheaper, and #2) if not, are you willing to pay the higher price bacause it's something you really want?. You would not be the first to pay that much, or the last. It sounds a bit high for my taste. Maybe way high for some but there may be someone out there willing to offer the seller more to get it away from you! I just gave $375 for a used one that came with a holster and ten 12-round magazines. Some would be willing to pay more than that. Others have been lucky enough to pay less.

I would think many people who own more than a few guns have at least one or two that someone thinks they overpaid for. I recently paid what some may say was too high a price for an SKS. Sure, a year ago I could have gotten it for $100 less, but a year ago I had no interest in owning one.

If that's the gun you want and it's available right now and you can afford it right now, well then....

How bad do you want it?

Here are the Bluebook prices for that pistol:

100% - $585
98% - $475
95% - $400
90% - $350

While $500 is about average for a 98% pistol without any marks or extremely minor rubs, any marks or scratches will certainly reduce the price. It all boils down to "How bad do you want the pistol?"

There appear to be a large number of police armory 6906 w/3 12round clips showing up at Texas gunshows for $400. Some showing almost no frame wear. Believe they come from the large jobber over in Abilene. Your dealer will know who that is and can order some in. Excellent carry guns and most are tack drivers, but all can benefit from a set of Hogue rubber grips, if for nothing more than securing the fragile hammer strut spring mounting (drop it on the butt, break the plastic grip, no hammer spring support ... you're out of the fight). There may have been a factory recall, but armory guns depend on the police smith to do the work, and unless they were in service ...!

I paid $500 for minty one , with matching box and papers . Makes a nice carry gun , I would have paid more .

I paid $400 for one without any extra magazines. Was in what I consider excellent shape with not a mark on the grips and very few marks on the slide or receiver. Very happy with it.

Since it seems to be harder and harder as the days go by to find ANY nice 9mm pistol, IMO, $500 for a Like New Gun isn't stretching the price that much, especially here in Florida.
