9/11: The Real Heroes are Dead

Thanks for posting that, Arlo. I read that article when it came out, and every 9/11 I think of Rick Rescorla. He was an extraordinary man.

Rescorla entered the South Tower more than once to bring people to safety. As he walked down the stairs leading them, he reportedly sang songs in an effort to keep folks' spirits up, and to keep them focussed, calm, and orderly. Along with the songs "God Bless America" and others, he sang this rousing Welsh martial tune:

Thank you for sharing this, I remember reading this in years past.

The man was a true hero, and lived a life like few others.

Also, the 343 of my brothers who never came home that day. I will NEVER forget you!
