908s & 910s NEED HELP

I purchased a 908s six months or so ago, although I love it for the stainlass look & ccw ability (even though legally I can't), shoots very well. I can't say anything bad about it, except, my pinky finger seems to find it's way under the butt or mag when shooting. So, recntly I bought a 910s & planned to give shooting responsibilty of the 908s to my wife, her normal shooter is a dultone bersa 380 but that is expensive to go blow 200 rounds at the range. Where I need help is on my research for the 908s, almost as soon as I got it I bought a stainlass guide rod for a 3913 from midway, I like the look better than the plastic black. What gun has a stainlass guide rod that is inter-changable with my 910s. also are the slides/barrels of these to guns inter-changable. I saw a post once, just a few weeks ago, on this side of a 910s with a 908s slide. Any help would be appreciated.

I would think that a 5906 rod would work for your 910.

Yes, the 5903/5906/915/5904 guide rod will work in your 910. I cannot say with 100% certainty that the 908 slide and the 910 slide can be swapped but it would not surprise me. I have swapped slides before on 3rd Gens and even the factory did it as a production gun called the SSV (short slide variant). But for safety sake make sure you check with either a S&W armorer on this forum or call S&W.

thanks for your replies guys, I'll have to check further into the slide swap if i decide to go that route. I'm going to try to attach pics of the two guns if anyone is interested
