I finally shot my recently acquired 915 this past weekend. For My first 9mm ,it shoots ok. held target good and had no FTF problems using different brands and weights of bullets. I have always shot .45, and diffidently can tell the difference in recoil and sight reacquisition between the two.
I've done a little searching on this model and posted up here and received a bunch of good answers to some questions I ask.
Now I have some more questions for those in the know.
First, Is this 915 pistol considered a "generation" gun? (i.e. first, second, third)
Second, How about aftermarket rubber type grips? I found I'm not real keen on the plastic factory grips. Its like my grip is not solid.
What model grips do I need that will interchange and fit the 915 frame? I'm hoping to find a used set if I can be sure on the correct fit.
Third, If I decided to change out the sights, What are my options and your opinions.
I am leaning on possibly using the 915 as my everyday CCW piece, if the tweeking of it to suit my preferences are not to hard on the pocket!
Thanks,
DAVE
