9MM EZ Slide lock issue

Recently picked up a 9mm EZ for the wife. Put about 3 or 400 rounds of Federal & Winchester 115g through it and have had the slide lock back while firing. The slide will cycle back and the slide lock will pop up as if the mag is empty when it's not. By simply pulling back on the slide the lock will pop back down and you can keep firing. It's only happened 4 or 5 times so far but I wanted to see if anyone else might have experienced this.

The slide lock has a spring that always pulls it down unless you have a mag inserted that is empty from shooting the last round in the mag or you just insert an empty mag and pull the slide all the way back.
With a empty mag regardless of why its empty, the follower will push up the slide stop and lock the slide open.
Fulton722 is correct. The only way the condition you mentioned can happen
is if your thumb or some part of your finger/hand pushed up on the slide stop while shooting.
It happens to most of us at some point until you get the proper grip for you on that gun. I have a 9mm EZ and love it. It's a great gun! Enjoy !

Thanks, that's what I figured as happening as it's only ever happened when the wife was shooting. I just figured I'd post up and see if there might be an issue I didn't know about. I'll keep a closer eye on her grip next time we're at the range.

There are instances (not with that gun as far as I know) where a slide stop, that is slightly too large on the inside, will be activated by some bullet shapes as if by the follower. As it only happens with your wife that is not likely to be the case.
