9mm for pocket carry

How big are your pockets?

Since I like old school how about an Astra A75. Even better if you can find the aluminum framed A75L.

How about an old school S&W 69 series?

Glock 43. Simple draw and fire gun, nothing to fumble with. Goes through the same torture testing as the larger 9mms. Best customer service of any manufacturer. Recently sent my Gen 2 model 19 back that I bought new back in 1994 to have the heavy New York trigger connector replaced with their standard 5.5 lb connector and any upgrades needed. Had 5 old mags I sent with it. They replaced ALL of the springs, the trigger connector and sent it back to me with 5 new magazines. The charge? Nothing, zip, nada. I paid for shipping to them, they paid return shipping :)Forgot to mention they also replaced the firing pin and it's related parts. They basically upgraded my nearly 30 year old pistol to new condition at no charge. Quite a difference than some companies now days that completely drop all support for older guns.

I have both a Glock 43 and a Sig 365 that I have pocket carried.

It kind of depends on what your comfort level is like with pocket carry and weight.

I really like the Glock 43 out of the two because it is lighter in weight and about the same size. The down side is you are only getting 7 rounds, if that is a concern of yours. I usually carry a spare magazine in the other side pocket in a mag. holder.

I have moved to the 365 platform and have a standard model with a Wilson Combat after market grip on it. I have an X model and an XL but the extra length in the grip can be an issue with the pocket.

There is more weight with this model so that is something to consider. I also carry a spare mag with this one in the same manner.

I feel perfectly protected with either and mainly carry the spare mag in case of some form of malfunction.

The 365 rides in a Mika Pocket holster, which is a great choice, and the Glock is in an old Uncle Mikes style nylon pocket holster.

I have never tried one of the 365SAS models so don't know if that may be something you are interested in. I understand the sights can be hard to master for longer shots.

I should have clarified that I wouldn't consider much outside of one of these two. Both are tested and work well.

If you can stomach the low capacity and lack of slide lock lever, the CZ10M might be a candidate.

This a personal choice as to what works best for you . I am not a fan of glocks grip angle and flat sides to the grip so for me there not even on a list . Now make up your own mind what you want to rely on .

I have a Glock 42 that I like but want more oomph that the 9mm offers. So, I will probably go with the Glock 43. Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. Low capacity isn’t a problem. I usually only pocket carry at church, depending on how I am dressed.

Personal choice and what you feel comfortable with is everything. Personally, the only 9mm I would pocket carry is a Smith 940. Obviously not a choice many would make, but what I would feel most comfortable with.

I have migrated from 41 mag mdl 58 duty gun, to 1911 10 mm through Colt 45, Ruger,Kahr 9 mm, to the Sig P365.
When I picked up the Sig I quit looking.
I have added Mag guts conversion kits giving me 2 extra rounds in each magazine. That gives me 2 12 rounds and 1 14 round mag.

If 37 rounds isn’t enough to end a gunfight, then neither one of us was very dangerous.

I had a G42 but I didn't like the pistol at all. I mostly carry the Ruger EC9s in my back pocket with a Stoner back pocket holster. It prints like a wallet. The safety is easily accessed with my thumb...after a little practice.
