Scored a deal at Palmetto last night on a Shield 9mm (with safety) for $249. Was a great buy I think. Haven't owned one but wanted to try an inexpensive striker fire for edc instead of my more expensive Sig 1911 938. For the money was worth a try.

Great deal! I wish I could find a deal like that on the 45! The Shield is my first of the only two striker fired guns I have left. I later on traded into a Glock 19, but I haven't shot it yet. I would take on a third, if it were the Shield in 45 though.

Probably to avoid a lot of inventory tax at the end of the year. Many states impose that tax on companies as one extra way to raise revenue; so the less in-stock inventory they have, the lower the tax bill.

Nice! I got my Shield 45 from PSA a few months ago it was around $250 after rebate which was too good to pass up. Seems like they really aren't set up well for personal customer service, but they do have specials, daily deals, etc. you just have to be quick.

That is great deal .. I was looking for a XDS40 when I ran across this NIB Sheild 40 S&W on Gunbroker , no reserve .. Picked it up for $220.00 shipped .... Couldn't pass it up ... I guess everyone is making room for the 2.0 ....
...I'm doing my best to keep the 2.0s off the shelves. I got one yesterday from LGS for $400 plus tax.

Good price. I got a shield a bit ago from Palmetto for $320 shipped then applied for $75 rebate bringing it to $245. You paid just a very small amount more and did not have to mess with the rebate, so congratulations.

I was lucky! Been looking at the PC Shield and they were out of stock Sunday. Checked yesterday morning and were back in stock. Have one on the way now! Was curious and checked today and they are back out of stock.
