Need help the book said the rear sight does not get adjusted to adjust the front only. Has anyone done this? I can shoot out the center with my ruger p95. Shoot the same with my shield an I am off to the left. To hit center with the shield I have to shoot to the right of center. Want to adjust front sight. Has anyone done this? Thanks

First,
The Shield's sight adjustment IS THE FRONT SIGHT.
Normally sight adjustment is THE REAR SIGHT. but NOT SO WITH THE SHIELD.

TO adjust NORMAL REAR sights YOU MOVE THE SIGHT IN THE DIRECTION THAT YOU WANT THE BULLET IMPACT TO BE.

The SHIELD'S adjustment IS THE FRONT SIGHT, so in this case,
YOU WOULD MOVE THE SIGHT IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION THAT YOU WANTED THE IMPACT TO OCCUR.

In your case YOU WANT THE BULLET IMPACT TO MOVE TO THE RIGHT,

You would need the FRONT SIGHT to be moved TO THE LEFT.

Scribe a line on the dovetail slot TO MARK THE ORIGINAL SIGHT POSITION.

Use a SIGHT PUSHER to move the FRONT SIGHT TO THE LEFT.

Possibly you could use a BRASS PIECE/HAMMER to tap it over.

***Note****

Your GRIPPING of the SHIELD and How MUCH TRIGGER FINGER you are using may be PUSHING THE IMPACT LEFT.

Hope this helps.

Thank you helps a lot

Almost everyone I've talked to complains that the Shield shoots left. I had the same problem. It is more then likely your grip and the amount of finger on the trigger as suggested by Moonman. I worked with it and finally got it right. It took a couple hundred rounds and a different grip then I am used to but it was me and not the sights.

Took me a while to get used to my shield 9mm. I agree with Moonman, take note of how much trigger finger you are using. The grip also helps.
Good luck

As others have suggested, try it off sandbags and see if it is eh gun or if it is a grip/trigger control issue. If it still shoots left, move the front sight to the left.
