I'm trying to understand how somebody can be smart enough to have earned the money to buy a Ford GT, yet dumb enough to get in and fire it up when he doesn't know how to drive a standard transmission...

I'll tell you just as sad. Is me not buying a brand new one back when they were 70K. I almost did it but thought "Nah I really need something more practical. Kick myself now seeing what their value has become.

I had a neighbor some years ago who worked his tail off building a business and finally bought his dream car. A mid sixties,low mileage,numbers matching stingray. The second day he owned it he missed a shift while flying down the frontage road,threw a rod and destroyed the engine block [emoji33]

He has been associated with thirty-eight companies, according to public records. The companies were formed over a thirty year period with the most recent being incorporated twenty-six days ago in April of 2022. Thirty-Two of the companies are still active while the remaining six are now listed as inactive.

That's truer than we think, Rusty. I was reading just the other day that only 1.5% of the vehicles sold today in the USA have standard transmissions.

I wonder if it bothers this guy that teenagers in Europe can drive a stick, but he can't...

Any time the news reports bizarre, crazy, outrageous "events" you can bet at least half the time it's Florida. Every bendo, psycho or sociopath, criminal, flim-flam fraudster in the country eventually ends up here. This guy obviously just has too much money, no harm done. Joe
