A $700,000 "Oops"...

Update, for what it's worth...

I've been discussing this with my elder son, who is a service advisor for a large multi-make dealership. I speculated what it might cost to repair this car, and how that might affect its value. He told me that for many cars older than 10 years old, it can be hard to get factory parts, and that for a true exotic like this Ford GT, it might not be possible to repair it, considering that the airbags deployed, etc.

What a shame that a true enthusiast's car ended up in the hands of a clown like this... :(

It people like him that give "Florida Man" a bad name……..

But only because he trashed a classic car. Had that been, say, a Camry, wouldn't have made the cut. That said, he's got money and a demonstrated lack of automotive sense. Is the next car a:

1) Ferrari
2) Lamborghini
3) McLaren
4) Toyota… for this guy, a Stupra.

Porsches are, well, predictable.

Suspended license, unregistered vehicle, uninsured car, changes story from downshifting to upshifting, blames car having old tires, being recently detailed, and muddy pavement as contributing factors...

Truly an example of more money than sense.

This guys story and excuses - the smell test - does not pass.

All horsepower, no horse sense.

Oh that's not a "classic car" ….. its a new car.

Classic would be 60s or early 70s muscle.

If he's got $700k for a car he can surely afford to be self insured.

LOL, yea Toyota would sell out and not be able to mfg enough of the " Stupra".
Also Phil Hill is rolling in his grave….I still have my model GT I built in 66. I got to sit in one many, many years ago.

I bought my first vehicle (a brand new Mazda '88 B2200 pickup) SPECIFICALLY with a manual transmission because I didn't know how to drive one (well I understood the theory, but had never actually done it.)

I was competent within about 5 minutes, and I'd say I had it down in like a day. Best thing I ever did. And even though I haven't owned a standard in 20+ years, I could get in one tomorrow and drive!

Same reason I started on a pump shotgun! Now I can shoot anything.
