A case of mistaken identity

I'm looking back at 83 and just renewed my Drivers License for another 6 years, so I'm booked up for a while....

I have to renew mine next year, I will be 74. Here they are good for 8 years until you go over 70, then they will only give you 4 years are they want a peak at you more often.

I just went to their web site and it looks like at 74 I can only renew for 1 year, but at 75 you can renew for 4. I emailed them to see if that was correct and said if so I may be 73 but I am more coherent than whoever figured that out.

There is no DL bureau in Jefferson County, MT so we can renew by mail every other time it expires.

Renew Online

To be eligible to renew your Montana driver license online:

You must be a US citizen.
You must be between the ages of 21-63.
If you are turning 21, you must renew in person.
If you are turning 75 or older, you must renew in person.

If thats the case, whats the story between 64 and 74?
