Good Morning S&W shooters!
My wife and I've owned S&W products for years, but my new M&P 15-22 rifle is my first S&W long gun. I got it to maintain my competency with an AR (we also have a Colt Match Rifle).
Seems as though we'll need another one of these 22's, as everyone wants to shoot the darn thing. The M&P product line is appealing, and we also purchased an M&P .40 Compact.
We also have a Sig Sauer 229, and a couple of Kimbers - the M&P seemed like it would be a good replacement for my Glock 19, and so far its doing a fine job. My wife and I are both retired military and it's heartening to see so many veterans on this site!

I came across this site while searching for info on how to improve the feeding of ammo for the 15-22. It is sensitive to the angle of entry from the magazine. We spent some time yesterday with several mags and concentrated on CCI (Remington Golden Bullets are happier in my wife's Buckmark).
We have 8 mags for the 15-22. I haven't found any manufacturing differences that would lead to FTF issues. So far, the 36 gr hollowpoint CCI feeds most consistently - loading 20 rounds. We've got about 450 round through it and the accuracy exceeds any expectations for a carbine of this size. It's easy to clean, and I usually run a bore snake through it at the range, and wipe down the bolt. I think a slightly modified follower in the magazine might reduce the FTF issue. Yesterday, I had 10 FTF rounds (damaged) out of 200.
Anyway, I'm very pleased to have access to the experience of this group and hope to gain further appreciation of these fine weapons!
