A coupla' 22's from the gunshow.

I found this Mod 17, K4210XX (late 1960) and a stainless "bull barrel" MKII Ruger at a little gunshow on Saturday.
The grips had to come from the stash box-O-grips. Diamonds never get left on gunshow S&W's anymore.

I have a few K-22's but I'm always looking to upgrade. I have a Mod 17 that numbers to the same year as my newest one. (shown at top). With the help from forum members I found a set of stocks and a box for it. Saturday's K-22 has a little less wear so it gets the box and the "old" one turns into a shooter. Darn.

Those are great guns and I love both of them. I have a Stainless Ruger Mark II Target with 5.5 bull barrel, a S&W Model 17-4 with 8 3/8 barrel and a K22 with 6 inch revolver. I have seen an amazing increase in the number of 22's bought by forum members in the past 4 months as they are the place to be with current ammo costs and the lack of availability in pistol ammo. They are a whole lot of fun at the range for $16 a brick.

Nice find! That 17 looks mint and the Ruger not too shabby either! You are right about the grips, stripped and sold seperate. I switch some grips around on my personal guns, but if they are numbered they stay on that gun. Congrats on your new purchases!
