A FANTASTIC EVENING FROM A DISASTROUS START!

Though it seems like yesterday, we moved to SC 12 years ago, when we retired. Too bad about Mama's though. :(

Well thank goodness my L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn is still good even though the former owner was murdered.

I was born in Brooklyn but grew up in Queens. Went to Brooklyn Tech HS and commuted every day! Peter Lugers in Williamsburg is still the BEST!! Just took my family there recently but the trip in is a pain!

We just had a Capitol Grill open and that is pretty darn excellent (Roosevelt Field). Bryant & Cooper (Roslyn), Blackstone's (Melville) and Insignia (Hauppauge) are all top notch Steak Houses that we enjoy. :)

A good way to get good treatment at an eating establishment is to let the owner know that you are part of an organized group that will constitute a good book of business. I belong to the Potomac Valley Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and we have a number of TV game gatherings at a local establishment in Frederick, MD. Yes, we make a lot of noise but we spend a lot of money and the owner is glad to have our business. We are well taken care of.
