Similar but different - years ago I had a clogged rooftop dryer vent in a house we had built. Inspection finally revealed a very, very fine screen over the exhaust in the roof cap. The contractor had added it as a bug screen. The problem was that it was finer than the lint trap screen in the dryer. I removed it. Never had any issues with bugs getting in the dryer vent for the 26 years we lived there.

Let me put this out -- I don't like heights. Playing Tomb Raider on the Play Station, when Lara got close to the edge of a cliff, I'd get the jitters.
