We rescued a 12 week old American Bulldog to go with our 12 year old. Its been a crazy past few weeks getting used to having a puppy again.

Good lookin' dogs. Love the fact, you didn't cut off the tails.

They are both females. The older dog never had pups, but she has assumed the role of grandmother better than I thought she would. Sad truth now is, when the older dog dies.........sad to ponder and I dread the day........we will have to get the pup a buddy.

We had an older golden retriever years back. We brought home Bubba when he was just a pup. He went outside and curled up next to her and she gave us that "What the hell is this look". They became close pals. The golden died and about a year later, I rescued Otis. He and Bubba became Batman & Robin-Bubba used to get away and Otis was usually caught holding the bag. With Bubba gone long enough that I can think about replacing him, the cycle will start over in late January with a new pup. Otis will be the old man of the duo. Circle of life and all that crap. No point to my post other than your picture reminded me of it.

Nice looking dogs. I love the breed.Ihave a big male who is the best dog I ever had.
