Don't laugh. This thing works. Take a fly out of commission easily.

I don't think I would shoot salt inside my house. But on the front porch? Yeah! You can find it on Amazon. And there's a pretty good video tutorial too. ;)

I've had one for a couple of years.

I figured out, that it would take the wings off of red wasps, when we had a bad infestation. Must have blasted several hundred of them.

One important thing for the shooter, getting one, didn't make the nearby wasps angry, as swatting at them can do.

Great fun...……….

Is that the large capacity semi-automatic A Salt Rifle I hear so much about?

Nope, they're are all pump action. I've had one for a couple of years and would love to see a semi or full auto version.

They work best on soft skinned bugs like flies or spiders, any thing with hard shells like beetles or centipedes require more then one shot....which can be dangerous if they charge you.

I wouldn't worry too much about shooting a centipede more than once. Any judge worth his salt would dismiss the charges and rule that the centipede didn't have a leg to stand on. :o

A Salt rifle

I find that Kosher salt works fine :Dtoo, and has some bigger chunks.
The patterning does suffer some though.
Not a long range weapon, I call it a skeet gun not a rifle.

Includes 90-day warranty, limited 1-year warranty with proof of purchase.
UPDATED FEATURES:

New Cross Bolt Safety! Once it's on, it's on. Once it's off, it's off. Feel free to rapid fire, folks!
Sleek design has streamlined the feel of the gun. It's like butter on toast.
Updated engineering on trigger mechanism. It's now VERY light – so be careful! Keep away from children, pets, & idiots.
Barrel has been lifted & Patridge sight added for extremely accurate shooting. You can shoot the fly in the back of the neck now!
Improved, more durable salt hopper makes tactical reloads easy during the heat of battle.
Stronger spring creates a tighter salt pattern.

If it works on wasps I'm buying one cause we've had whole lot of wasps this year! Just curious what holds the salt in the barrel? I have an old pellet pistol that I don't shoot because I have several better ones but if I could make up some salt loads for wasps and spiders that might be fun since it probably has more power than the plastic Bug-a-salt gun. Maybe if I rammed one of the felt pellet gun bore cleaners down the barrel about six inches, then put in the proper amount of salt and another felt wad on top? I could use table salt for the small bugs and the larger Sea Salt for the big game.

That is not an "A salt rifle".

It's far worse. It is an "A salt" scattergun.:D

Back porch entertainment at its best! My wife gave me one for Father's Day last year. Many an flying pest have met their demise at the end of the muzzle of my Bug-a-Salt!

A "skeeter beater" for sure!

I love mine. I have 3 of them! The original yel/blk. and 2 of the 'new/improved' gry/blk models. The newer model has much more 'ooph', a better trigger, slimmer design, and, no perk safety that activates every time to pump the action like on the original model. Jjust pump and shoot. No crawling or flying insect around my house is safe!
