...for your consideration. But perhaps not so silly after all.

DOES YOUR GARAGE TASTE BAD?

Mine does!

Lemme 'splain. It will be 2 years ago on 10/20 that we moved into this house...and 4-car garage. I know 2 years isn't such a long time but this garage has served as a haven for our car, a riding lawnmower, several gas and electric weed eaters, several gas and electric chain saws, a host of power tools and hand tool, a host of shovels, axes, hoes, rakes and all the supplies, tools and equipment to power, maintain and repair all the above.

Also an overwhelming collection of Miss Pam's books, magazine, fabric sewing machines, and crafting materials and equipment.

All that was bad enough in the 'burbs but now we live in the country and between the dust, dirt, spider webs and the many local indigenous creatures we have here, 2 years is plenty of time to lose control.

I have spent the last 3 day regrouping, rearranging and cleaning this garage. You can imagine all the dust and "stuff" I have been breathing.

Now I can' seem to get the taste of my garage out of my mouth. Dill pickles don't help. Neither does brushing my teeth. I think it will take some time to get my lings clear.

...But my garage looks great!

Have you tried brushing your teef??????
Sounds silly, but I had a bad taste in my mouth that would not go away. One day I decided to brush my teef and voila! Mouth was clean and minty fresh. As a bonus, my teef were sparkling white!
Sorry-saw you were from Texas. Should have said "tooth" :D
Seriously though, you probably have a lot of nasty stuff in your nasal cavities that will eventually work out. I know the feeling you describe. It isn't pleasant

My experience in the few clean ups of dead bodies, is that the smell has gotten up into your sinuses. It can take days or even weeks to be vacated naturally. The machine that is advertised on TV that flushes out your nasal cavities is a good bet too fix you up (but no guarantee!). When we had a nasty smelling apartment to clean out, we plugged our noses with Vick's vapor rub. (F-I-L's wife was a Crime Scean investigator, I learned that trick and taught it to her.)

Do the old plumber's trick.

Put some Vick's Vapo-rub under your nose. They did it so they didn't have to smell the poo.

You won't smell or taste anything else but menthol, but it cure you of your garage taste.

That sure helps me sleep when I have congestion

Whenever I have to work in a super stinky house, I put Vics on the inside of a dust mask.
