My wife has rheumatoid arthritis bad. Real bad.

Having talked to a few friends and coworkers about CBD and THC, I decided to try and find something to lessen her pain.

A nice young lady at the pot shop recommended a CBD ointment.

Wife tried it. It worked and worked fast.

Eventually she will need a stronger product. But for now she’s happy.

Now you know, CBD works.

I have always worried about it showing up in my urine. I get wizz quizzed more now at the VA than I ever did while on active duty. I have 1 prescription that is restricted that I don't want to live without, I think they would like to label me an abuser to stop the med. I haven't even drank alcohol in 15 years.

I get the gummies for my girlfriend. She has a very difficult pain management problem. She has prescription pain medications, but sometimes they don't work.
So far I'm good with OTC meds, a jacuzzi, and a massage therapist.

If you have access to a dispensary, get a tube of RSO oil. (I think RSO are the maker's initials.) It's THC oil. It's very strong. A drop about the size of a BB is plenty. Sweet dreams.
Also, if you have a card for dispensaries you aren't allowed to buy a gun. It's not federally legal.

A few here disparage the VA, but myself, I like what they do for me. I was recently qualified to 100% disability, so I get a hefty check from them every month. I have a very nice VA doctor and most of my meds come from the VA. I recently had a ramp installed on the steps to my front door, and they also had a stair lift installed for me, so I can get to the basement from the 1st floor.
I will be getting a power wheel chair, courtesy of Medicare, and the VA will install a rack on the back of our vehicle, and will do all the maintenance on the chair when necessary.

The VA has told me numerous times to stay away from CBD etc because if they detect it you are no longer eligible for VA pain meds forever.
This is crazy IMO, you would think it would be, take whatever helps, perhaps help stop w/meds.

Almost every time I go to the VA they ask me if I use recreational marijuana, and they always specify recreational.

I don't, I've been sober for 42 years.

I was about to say they never really make an issue out of it but then it occurred to me that that's probably because I always tell them I don't.

I'm not sure exactly how to say this and I'm pretty sure it's going to start a fight so my apologies.

When Colorado put legalizing weed on the ballot I voted in favor. I did so because I thought that people should make their own decisions. The measure passed by less than 20 votes.

And IMO it absolutely destroyed Colorado.

Our homeless population skyrocketed. People came from all over the country for "Free weed". I'm not sure where that idea got started but I'm telling you a bunch of the people that I ran into at work thought that they were going to be able to have free weed in Colorado.

Our crime rate went up because the cartels moved in here and they started growing weed legally and illegally for shipment to the rest of the country.

The government looked at weed as a cash cow. Every time they wanted to pass a measure they raised the tax on weed to fund it.

What's that actually did was create a situation where the elicit dealers could raise the price on their product significantly and still undercut the legal weed stores. And once weed is in a jar at your house the cops can't prove you didn't buy it from Maggie's Farm.

Weed is an all cash business because the banks won't touch it. Weed dealers get robbed. Weed Dealers get busted for income tax evasion. Quite a few of the "dispensaries" in Colorado Springs have gone bankrupt and gone out of business.

And people still think legalized weed is the best thing that ever happened to Colorado

From what I understand, the crime is a problem because of the politicians.

I have absolutely no complaints with the VA. They have taken very good care of me for years. Being a Federal Agency, they are required to abide by Federal Law. Marijuana, THC, CBD, etc. are still illegal as far as the Federal government is concerned.

Legalizing weed doesn't raise crime. It's the politicians that vote to legalize weed. There are almost always other policy eggs in that basket that ride in and do far more damage than weed.
"Free weed"...are you saying that's the only handout in Co.?
Did Co. vote to defund their LE?
Does Co. support the decriminalization of hard drugs as well?
Are the Cartels there because they can grow weed, or are they there because they can grow weed in an extremely lax area that doesn't enforce all the OTHER laws being broken by operating as a foreign criminal enterprise on U.S. soil?

Politicians, policy, and lax enforcement cause crime to spike. Not weed.
