I purchased a Sig P232 from a member here for a righteous price. When I went to pick it up my bank account took another hit.

I smelled something familiar while at the sales counter completing my paperwork. I glanced down the row of showcases. Sure enough, three cases away to my left, and on the bottom shelf, sat these two S&W 65-3 revolvers. Lost and all alone amidst a sea of fantastic plastic. It was a heart breaking sight. I was moved.

The salesman asked if I were interested in one of them and I replied "no", so he reached over to put them back in the case. I slid the 4473 I just filled out in front of him and said "both of them". A 1.5 mile trip to the nearest Wells Fargo took thirty-five minutes due to traffic lights every 25 yards but I returned with the cash and took these fortunate orphans home.

I had one speedloader full of BB 180 grain hard cast in my car so I fired the gun before I left.

Man, what's the chance of finding not just one, but two nice revolvers in a gun store in Atl?!? Not on my side of town!! Congrats on those!!!

I love the 3" mod 65. Mine was my favorite shooter til my girlfriend tried it. Now it's her favorite. Been looking for another with no luck, but did score a 3" 66-2 this week. Hopefully it fills the empty hole in my soul.

God bless you, you good man. Not very many men would take in two extra orphans.

I am grateful there were only two of these lying there, instead of a dozen. I understand there was a third gun, someone has it on lay-a-way.
