Abbie Update 3/22/09

[SASABERANGER]

Abbie had a little better day today after a very rough 36 hours. She is back on dialysis and they are trying some different procedures on her.
Today she was awake for part of the day and smiled at her mom and squeezed her hand, and right now any time she smiles is a good day.
Papa Thom made a very grave error last week when I asked everybody to send Abbie a Birthday Card. I forgot a very important little guy who does not understand why Abbie is getting all of the mail.
So, this week I have another request from all of our friends and extended family.
Would everybody who receives this please send Andrew a friendly card? Just say Hi and let him know he has friends too.

Thanks for the update Thom. I am so glad to hear that Abbie is fighting through this. Prayers go up a couple of times a day for her.

You can count on Andrew getting a "Happy Card". He is 3-4 years old right? What are some of his favorite things? Horses or other animals, TV cartoon characters? I will send a card to him tomorrow saying what a good brother he is being.
