Just sold a M-29 to a member here and was in my LGS to get the shipping started this morning. While there, they had a couple of calls about ammo; they told the callers more ammo was coming in Tuesday.

The owner, a great guy and mid-30s disabled Iraq vet, said that despite the hoopla and hoarding, their ammo deliveries were pretty much exactly the same price as before the pandemic.

Thought you all should know.

Sure seems like everything that I have needed lately has had at least a 10-15% increase in price, some things much more!

....... despite the hoopla and hoarding, their ammo deliveries were pretty much exactly the same price as before the pandemic. Thought you all should know.

I was at the Orlando show last weekend, there were pallets of ammo in a dozen places. They were still trying to get "panic prices" though. Another couple months. Joe

There will be another ammo shortage at some point in the future and just as there were many caught short this time there will be just as many the next time.

Unfortunately.

Some will be newer owners who haven't experienced it yet. Can't really blame them.

Most will be those who just expect it to be there at their convenience. These are the morons I don't feel bad for.

I was out of 9's and found some last Friday at $35 a box of 50 so I picked up one box so I had some. Just left Scheels in Coralville and they had a shelf full for $21 a box with a 2 box limit so I picked up 2 and my daughter picked up 2. They had several.38's and 3-4 others and a section of different rifle calibers priced about normal for Scheels.

I was in a Walmart this morning and they had Remington 22lr 500 count boxes for 30 bucks.

Ammo prices

Got an email from gunzonedeals yesterday and they were selling 1k rounds 124 grn 9mm Belom for $497. Last "decent" price before that was .68 cents a round from CHPWS. Sgammo has good deals most of the time as well.

I think with Remington back in biz, prices have come down a bit. Still hard for me to find .38 and .357 though.

Have not bought ammo in a store in about a year.

Saw lots of ammo this past weekend. The only one I really paid attention to was 223 for $.75 a round. They had plenty. Pandemic prices plus. I see prices for22 on the popular website are dropping some. Several selling 22s for 12 cents a rd. Still too much for me. But I don't need them. Sure would like to see spp available.

Based on emails I'm getting from online sources, ammo is definitely flowing more. However, the prices are only nudging down a little. Unless this summer ends up like last summer, I think the ammo supply and pricing will be a lot closer to pre-2020 summer riots. Just don't buy expensive ammo if you don't have to.

I have been able to find ammo online from one retailer that ships to me for much less than local shops charge, but still more than I like to pay. I only buy what I need based on rage time, and try not to shoot stuff like 30-30 and .380 as they're non-existent right now.

9mm round nose 115 grain, usually pay $27.50 for 50 rounds ATM, 45 ACP is like $32.50 for steel cased, .223/5.56 is between $10.50-14.99 for 50 rounds (I've even scored some green tip), 7.62x39 still around $8 for 20... Other stuff like .308.7.62 NATO fluctuates greatly.

Again, I have bought some at higher prices, but only thing I paid $1 or more a round for was 450 Bushmaster... and maybe .308
