Absent Comrade (InolaOK)

We have received word that Ron, InolaOK, his forum name, passed away last week. Ron was a career military man and a retired First Sergeant from the 101st Airborne.

I met Ron through the SWCA and he was a bigger than life character. He had been seriously wounded in Vietnam and spent a long time in various hospitals. I always enjoyed our time together at the SWCA meetings. He was very knowledgeable and was always willing to share what he knew. He and his wife were good company and usually attracted a crowd.

If you get a chance, raise a glass, he preferred Bud, to the memory of a warrior and a good friend to many here.

As Max knows, Ron & I were old friends and comrade in arms. I got him addicted to collecting S&W belt buckles and he amassed the best collection of them ever exhibited at our annual meetings.
