My longtime forum friend Terry (raisedin99) has passed.

His wife, Sherry, sent me this text an hour ago and it has taken me this long to compose myself.

"Dear Rusty, I pray you are recovering from your surgery and I will continue praying for you and your family. I regret to tell you, Terry passed away September 11 to be with the Lord. I pray your family will receive this and will give you this information when they deem appropriate. This is the only way for me to let you know.Even though Terry and I had not met you, there was a close bond with Terry toward you. He prayed for you daily many prayers answered and many requests to God have been lifted and waiting for God to answer . Take care of yourself, keep close to God, and I know we will meet all together in Heaven. Sherry"

Terry was kindness personified and always put others before himself. He battled prostate cancer for a long time.

Several years ago Terry was thinning out his impressive gun collection and recalled a picture I had posted of my grandson Ian with his 4H air rifle team and sent Ian a quality competition grade air rifle.

I shall miss this ever cheerful and edifying man.

He just looks like that guy that makes every range day, a day at the range

A pity. RIP Terry.

Please, all of you: for the love of all that's holy, make sure you are working with your medical providers to ensure that you are doing all you can to have a healthy, happy, and long life. Preventive care matters.

I do not have to enjoy the various procedures I have had. I do have to appreciate them.
