academy pulls all assult guns

As of 12/18/12 academy sports has pulled all assult long guns. Ammo is flying off the shells. Also only a feel high cap . Mags left.

Dick's pulled all of their hi-cap mags when they pulled their AR's. I bought two on Monday because I didn't have the money to buy more. Went back today and they were all taken off the shelves. My friend works there and she said, "We have them, just can't sell them right now, corporate hasn't said if permanent or temporary." They also pulled all of their Airsoft guns that are not pistols.

looks like i got my m&p 15-22 just in time, i bought it from academy in texas on monday went their today to look for ammo they pulled all their "Tactical" rifles including the .22's

Yup, and ammo is getting scarce too. It may be a few weeks before it's plentiful again. Get some more magazines from 44mag.com if you want 'em, they're going fast.

Took me forever to find a box of ammo where i live i finally settled on a box of the Tactical CCI .22lr bulk packs, I wish i had extra money to order another mag or two but not till next fri

Hard time understanding the pulling of this sort of
fast selling stock.
Money is money for a business.
Question is why ??

Anyone with a guess ?

My thought is that they are going to sit on the current "pulled" stock
and then jack up the price after the possible ban.

I think it's completely knee-jerk, and we'll see them back out on shelves after a while. Until legislation passes banning them, just go somewhere else.
