Accurate # 2

After reading the opinions here I dug through my manuals and found a pretty fair amount of load data (I have 4 manuals plus a LoadBook for each of my 4 calibers).
So I called the seller and I'm all lined up to meet him and get all 7 lbs after work on Tuesday. We negotiated a price of $112 for the 7 lbs (one 5lb keg and two 1 lb jugs) so I'm getting it for $16 a pound. I should be in good shape for powder for quite some time!
Thanks again guys!

I think you are getting a good deal. In my opinion, AA#2 and AA#5 are the hardest pistol powders to find, harder than even Hodgdon Clays (but not by much).

I have 2 pounds of AA#2 left over from a 4 pound purchase. I wasn't sure what I would be doing with this powder but after reading this thread I'm going to try loading some light 38 spl loads. I'm looking for a very clean 38 load, the best I have found to date is VV N320 which costs about twice what others powders in this range cost.

It's the first powder I started reloading with and I stuck with it. I've loaded thousands of .38 special with it. In my experience it's been clean, accurate and meters great out of my Dillon 550B. I'm down to my last 4 lbs. and Im getting worried because I can't find it anywhere and I'm not going to pay scalper prices for it.

AA#2 is the best powder I've tested in .380 and 38 Special using light weight .38 Special bullets. I only have Accurate Arms #1 manual and compare it with AA on-line data. I've found AA's data to be realistic and use only AA data. I wouldn't pick it for 9MM and wouldn't load it in .357 Magnum but for .380 it's great. It's one of those powders that doesn't use up more than 1/2 of case volume so using all safety habits to prevent the possibility of a double charge is critical.
