A 716i, found a fair deal and I've been wanting a .308 for a while (sold my M1A a while back, stupidly). It's sitting in Jay Inslee jail right now, might get it before Christmas. Anyone have expeience with this little AR?

I'm a fan of the platform, having a Sig 556, a 556R, and a 716. All of them are great shooters and have the typical SIG quality. My only complaint on the 716 is that it is really heavy. My cousin's husband has a SCAR and the weight difference is very noticeable between the two. But shooting from a bench, the weight difference might be working for me as it out shot the SCAR appreciably.

While I really wanted SIG to give us the 751 instead of another AR in 7.62, the 716 is a solid rifle in my experience, you'll likely enjoy it.

I am very much looking forward to some range time. Interwb reports seem positive, and I figured its hard to go wrong with an AR. Besides, I like Sig products. Most that I have had were good to go out of the box.

i think yesterday was on DEVOR.com. had hundreds of holesters on sale. there were alot of sig. holesters. just a suggestion.
308 peaks some interest.
I actually traded a M1A for a Sig 716 Patrol FDE... it is a robust firearm but heavy.. flawless function so far... recommend optic or red dot for it.. maximize the potential of what it is..
