If civil disobedience breaks out in my little mountain town I may carry it.
Maybe I'm crazy but if Civil Disobedience breaks out in my slightly larger on the edge of the mountains town I'm staying at home

In the era of social media and flash mobs, you can't always predict when and where a riot may occur.Maybe I'm crazy but if Civil Disobedience breaks out in my slightly larger on the edge of the mountains town I'm staying at home
My real point of the thread is that for me things seem more dangerous - leading to the spare magazine
Once LEOs moved away from revolvers, the tendency has been to emphasize magazine capacity.
Certainly there have been instances where the bad guys had more fire power than the good guys and the good guys suffered for it.
But remember that the incidents that the surplusage made a difference were all LEO involved. I know of no such incidents involving civilians.
The point is that if you're a LEO on duty an extra magazine is a good idea. If you're a civilian, it's likely to be more trouble than it's worth.
