Hi all,
I've been very pleased with my Kel-Tec P3AT and it has been a constant companion. I was anxious to get a look at the new PF9 as it has been touted as the smallest, lightest 9mm available. On a trip today to visit my Mother in Law, I stopped at a favorite gun shop and they had them in stock. What a neat little pistol! I went for the little exta bling and got the hard chrome/green combo. Out the door, tax and all, with 2 boxes of Federal ammo, the price was 325.00. I'm very pleased. When we got home tonight I ran a few informal mags throught it and it worked great. Who ever thought a 9mm that kicked existed! The wife ran about 5 rounds through it and was done!
Here's a photo of it and it's little brother.

Must be something in the water "I'm in Tyrone", pretty much the same story here. Mine, "the fast black model" will not run with the Speer 124gr plus p gold dots, slide velocity seems to be too fast. It shoots standard press 115's just fine and I feed it Black Hill's 115 JHP's. Pretty darned accurate as well. These Kel-Tec's are supriseing, they feel like a cheap piece of crap but work really well!

Was just shooting mine yesterday, works fine but just can't get used to the trigger pull. I actually got a blister on my trigger finger after 20 rounds. Must be just me but I am going to trade it off.

Had my PF-9 since they first came out. Never had a failure to fire or eject. My old jeans have a big watch pocket and hold the gun like a holster. The trigger pull is a bit stiff but remember its not a target gun - if you ever need it you won't notice the pull.

Thanks guys for the replies, do any of you that have a PF9 have any issues with the mag release? I just about have to stand on it to get it to release. I thought it was just "new" but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Hate to have to send it back, but it may come to that.
Hey Bob - we're neighbors, we should get together some time. Another member, Big Fred, is close as well. Maybe we can all go shoot sometime.

There is an unofficial Kel Tec website that has a lot of information on smoothing out that trigger pull. http://www.ktog.org

I carried a P-11 for years, and fired it once a week. I found it to be reliable and accurate with 115 and 125 Gr. factory ammo. I don't think there is a better buy than the Kel-Tec for the money. I like the S&W 59 magazine capability of the P-11. They are easy to find.

The Kel-Tec is in stand-by mode now that I have a S&W 340 revolver.

I've got two and really like them. My 9mm P-11 functions fine on Remington Golden Sabre 124 grain +P. I use the optional 12-round mags in it which makes it a "P-13".

The little P-32 one likes Winchester Silver Tip ammo.

I've nearly bought the Kel-Tec 9 a few times. The size is near perfect for a small package handgun vs. firepower, but the gun feels stiff to me, that is, the trigger, slide and magazine removal take a bit more effort than expected, even for a gun still in the display case. For the price, you can't find a 9 that small. From what I've read, like the 380, the 9 benefits from a break-in period.

Bought a P11 about two months ago; it works great with the Winchester NATO rounds.

Does anyone have an issue with the trigger pull?

I really need to work on my markmanship, as I found the looooooong trigger pull kept placing my shots well below the target.

You're right...lots of 9mm +P firepower (12+1) in a J-frame size package.

The trigger pull is stout but fine for a pocket sized no-safety pistol. Its also a true double action with a hammer and is not striker fired.
