Yes, it is a fun little pistol. I used it in my younger days when I worked as a game manager. It was great for dispatching nuisance critters. Make a great ranch gun.S&W model 18-3 is one of the most fun filled and frequently used guns in my collection.

An assumption on my part. Don't often see one without the other.I see the RR , but don't see the WO, were there more pics? Post #10, right?
I'm in the learning stage, so I don't doubt you. I will be as interested as you in the answer.I'm a long way from being knowledgeable on the subject (so don't holler at me!), but I thought the 4" variant (that became the Model 18) was simply referred to as the 'Combat Masterpiece" with no 'K-22' reference, and only the longer barrel variants were called 'K-22 Masterpiece' or 'K-22 Target Masterpiece' (later becoming the Model 17). Am I wrong, and my understanding needs a 'refreshing'? Further my education, please!
