I searched for many years for a Model 18 in Finland, but had to settle for a Taurus Model 90 and a S&W Model 17-5.
S&W model 18-3 is one of the most fun filled and frequently used guns in my collection.
Yes, it is a fun little pistol. I used it in my younger days when I worked as a game manager. It was great for dispatching nuisance critters. Make a great ranch gun.

My 'Pre 18' (no such thing) Combat Masterpiece. I have the original rear sight and Magnas, but it currently wears a Millet sight and Altamont Santos Rosewood 'Roper' stocks.

'54-55 K22 Combat Masterpiece. Still trying to work a balance between a nicer trigger and no light DA strikes. I'm close, need to try out my last spring swap. It's a user, but it shoots well.

I'm a long way from being knowledgeable on the subject (so don't holler at me!), but I thought the 4" variant (that became the Model 18) was simply referred to as the 'Combat Masterpiece" with no 'K-22' reference, and only the longer barrel variants were called 'K-22 Masterpiece' or 'K-22 Target Masterpiece' (later becoming the Model 17). Am I wrong, and my understanding needs a 'refreshing'? Further my education, please!
And RR/WO. Not often seen. on an 18.
Just married in 8/79, moved to New Orleans, LA and enrolled in seminary. Discovered Guns And Ammo, Bob Melick and his many articles on handguns, especially .22 LR handguns. His opinion of the Model 18 captivated me. In 83, traded a Browning Challenger II to the owner of the local ACE Hardware. He ordered me a 18-3. Been shooting one or more ever since. Now down to one 18-3 bought in 2000. While still an active local pastor, routinely took this revolver w/ me while out visiting church members. Had several places where I could go and shoot while taking a break for lunch. Now, retired. Finances have changed but can still shoot .22 LR without too much concern. Love that little revolver. Box stock except for the grips. Put original grips aside and installed S&W target grips. In my opinion, this particular revolver is the best shooting most accurate 18-3 that i have ever owned. It will keep 50 shots under 2.5 inches firing the GA. qualif. course DA only. With a bit of front sight hold over, hits on cans at 75 yds. are not so hard. This is the one revolver that rules them all and that at the range binds them in second place! Sincerely. bruce.

I see the RR , but don't see the WO, were there more pics? Post #10, right?
An assumption on my part. Don't often see one without the other.
This 18-2 came with 3T's and RR/WO, which is somewhat unusual.
