I moved this to the S&W Revolvers: 1980 to Present section.

The gun was probably produced sometime around 1982 +/- and most likely has a nickel finish. There's no way to assign an accurate value here without photos. If it's original and in fine condition, it's worth about $400. That's a BIG if....
