Ahh snow

Oh forgot to mention this will be my last winter without a snowblower!

Better late than never.

Don't know your situation but... I would recommend nothing less than a gas powered 9.5hp two stage blower for a 2car driveway and a decent amount of sidewalk. Electric start is a great addon for us old farts. The more HP the wider the clearing path.

Only problem will be what to do with the extra free time you'll have.

I have land in far southern Tennessee, along the Mississippi border. Over the last couple of years we had snow once. Maybe an inch one night, but it was gone by the afternoon.

Illinois has really taught me to hate snow

Too dry a winter causes problems when spring comes, then it seems there is too much rain at once.
I confess I have been working on my winter strategy. Years ago I read in one of my mother's women's magazines that "Giving your kid a sled for Christmas will sweep every snowflake from the sky for the next six weeks."
I buy old sleds, fix them up, give them to anyone I know with grammar school age children. Last January we had our first snow in 704 days. I personally enjoy it, see snow shoveling as a way to burn off calories but it often seems I am the only one who knows how to drive in it.

The only thing I don’t like about it is playing butler to a bunch of cats. It’s too cold to leave a window open for em lol

There has to be a Meow activated door opener, that is keyed to each cat. Call Elon. :D
Need a microwave that always has the coffee cup handle, facing the door, when it beeps. Call Elon.

Don't have a turntable in your microwave? You've got bigger mental issues. :D
Than what, timing the turntable?

You do know at 50% power it spins at half speed, right?

We had a dusting of snow this morning and melted off this afternoon. I guess more is predicted for this next week. We sure need the moisture, and it will be much appreciated, even if I have to plow snow.

For us snow-lovers, the last several winters here in the mid-Atlantic have been very disappointing...temperatures generally above freezing, with almost no snow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this year...

It must be true? (Winter & Snow)

On the news last night,
the Donner Pass near Blue Ridge, came to a stand still on interstate 80, on the way to Sacramento,
due to snow and accidents
with cars and big 18 wheelers all locked up and looking like a bowl of pasta on the film clip.

Be careful out there folks.

One of the Reno ski runs opened up this friday, for business.

Lots of the higher mountains in the area have "White" on them.
I did not realize that it has been that cold and that we had that much rain
in the last few weeks.

23* has been our low, so far with 60's as our high's.......

and yes, the tomatoes are a done deal.

Mt Rose open…Heavenly mid next month.

RIP John McGrath…John was a WW2 MOH (posthumously) recipient 10th Mtn Division. From Norwalk, CT. He was the first 10th Mtn soldier to receive the MOH and was the only one who had until the wars on terror. RIP John. Our families knew one another back there…I wasn’t born yet but recall the stories like yesterday
