Airlite handgun picture thread!

Thanks for this thread guys! The more I see it the more I love my 360SC. Question though: Do any of you with wood grips installed on the Scandium guns have trouble controlling them? I would have imagined that rubber grips would be easier on the hands.

cj,

I can't say that I have any trouble with controlability, but I do tend to cut up my hand with the wood grips if I shoot more than 40 or 50 rounds in a session. I tend to stick to the 38 special 135gr Speer gold dots though I have found the 135 gr magnums to be manageable and are what I currently stoke my kit gun with. 145gr Silvertips are another matter entirely and should be avoided in the AirLites.

Amazingly I tend to find the N-frames more abusive than my J-frames. I think it has to do with the higher bore axis and thus more rotation within my hand. Like I said, the 625-10 is a BRUISER and stoked with silvertips the 327 isn't much better.

Thanks for the info Glockist! Gonna have to look into getting some nice grips for my baby. Oh and invest in some 135 gr ammo to try it with my Kit!

Here is my 340PD and 386PD foor comparison. Both shoot the .38/.357 and boh my favorites. I am looking for a good 296.

It's not exactly a "big boomer," but here's my Airlite 317 .22, sent back to the factory for a lighter pull - came back with the Ladysmith hammer. And....look, Ma! No IL!!!

Better not ask Mr. Nahas to show his....we will be looking forever. It is nearly impossible to imagine a display like his at the S&WCA show...especially that aluminum framed .22 Hornet N-Frame....wow!

Here are some of mine....

Who would have ever believed, even just a few short years ago, that a gun weighing 12 ounces or less (my 340PD actually weighs 11.6 with the CT grips) could withstand thousands of rounds of full power .357 Mag. and still be as tight as it was the day you bought the gun. Something that even the K frames couldn't do.
