All in favor of moving on from "Glock vs Sigma" please post.

Hey, I just joined today and haven't had a chance to debate the finer points of this argument yet... I own a Sigma 40ve and Glocks 21sf & 27. I wouldn't want to be shot with any of them. I like to shoot them all. They go bang when you pull the trigger and hit want you are aiming at. Plus they all feel good in my hand. There that's all I have to say on that. You can close the debate now.

I'm a total no0b when it comes to handguns, so it really cracks me up when the flames start. And I thought the Ford v. Chevy crowd were tough.

To me Glocks are butt ugly and I do not like the grip angle.

But they are fine guns for those that like them

Nothing said on any board will change my mind.

That being said - I'm very open minded on the subject

Ugly ugly

I say we promote the sigma everywhere we go!

As I've pointed out in other threads, the number of sigma fans is growing by leaps & bounds; and the dark cloud that it was born under is slowly lifting!

In addition to being the greatest value on the planet, the hard earned money that I spent on mine went to feed an American family! That might not mean as much today as it once did, but it does to me!

I agree 100%:D:D:D

That's a fine shootin' CZ-52!

Compared the trigger between the Sigma .40 and my CZ-75: the CZ-75 has a much smoother double action pull. It can be fired single action and can be carried cocked & locked (Condition One). It is all steel and should pretty much last forever (IMHO) and can reliably digest everything I've ever put in it. Very accurate as well. Shoots better than I can.

I'm totally impressed with the Sigma because, to me, it is a different weapon altogether. It is in effect a magazine fed, powerful high cap revolver, light, safe and very well suited for CC or HD.

What's that but the GLOCK, which was, to be truthful, a revolutionary design. For many the real bottom line will always be "Why pay more?"

Cheers!

Okay... I am an official non Glocker.. do not and will not own one.

However, Glocks are extremely dependable and accurate. They'll eat anything you feed em and ask for more. IMO an out of the box Glock is better than an out of the box Sigma. I enjoy my Sigma for target and home defense though.

Without owning one how do you know?

This is my first post here, Just bought a Sigma 9mm also own Glock 21 first generation and have a SA XDSC 40.. To me "Its a Polymer Thing" "Combat Plastic" etc... Enjoy the heck out of all of them:cool:

Like them both, but find that my SW40VE feels better in the hand than my G23, and certain parts of the Smith look better than the Glock, and certainly exhibits less recoil flip than the 23. But just have the feeling that the Glock is more reliable, has more models in the lineup, and many more aftermarket parts and accessories available. Cheers

I have owned a Glock 19 and 17. I used a Glock 19 as a service pistol for a few years. I have owned a Sigma 9VE for a few years. I have fired upwards to a over a thousand rounds with no malfunctions. It's the handgun @ my bedside. I feel it's a better handgun.
There will always be doubter and those who carry on about "they just copied it all from Glock." Let it rest.

from Afghanistan

Well, Let me say this. This issue won't die. Many of us have owned Glocks, Sigmas and now M&Ps. They are all excellent pistols. Some fit some better than others. I found the Glock 17 & 19 rather box like and the handgrip @ an odd angle. They are awesome hanguns. The Sigma. Great, inexpensive, reliable, pissah in all aspects, the trigger pull ought not be the argument. I now own an M&P 9 full size and it's great as well.
I have seen Afghans and other foreign troops here carrying the Sigma & the Glock. No arguments from anyone on either.
Cheers!

For the price, I'll stick with my SW9VE. Glocks are nice, but you can't beat a Sigma's price, as well as an accurate and reliable handgun.

I'm tired of it guys...it's killing me...I can't read another word of it! It's all personal preference. If ya wanna Glock, drop your 600 on one and be happy. If ya wanna Sigma, drop your 300 and be happy...Just keep in mind that this is the Sigma forum, please don't waste your time trying to convince us here how much better your Glock is. It won't work. It would be nice to see this forum move past this discussion and start talking about our experiences with our Sigma pistols exclusively. All in favor please weigh in!
I'll second that and enough of the Sigma trigger posts. Both subjects are getting quite old.
