I know my Allegro project isn’t as exciting as my Torino project. But getting this rolling apartment moving is one large accomplishment in itself.
I installed a new Quadra jet carburetor. That one part completely fixed several problems. Now the idle has leveled out. The motor is running like a spinning top. No backfire or smoke. The 454 sounds very aggressive. My friends think it’s been cammed.
I still need to catch up on odds and ends. I should have this land ship road worthy in a few weeks.

Good for you. I've been loosely tracking your saga for a while and man, it seems you're nothing if not resilient. I don't know what path you're planning on pursuing next but have you considered getting certified and turning wrenches for a living? Sounds like you have a pretty good start already.

I don’t plan to be a full time mechanic. Vintage cars are just one of my passions. But maybe one day I will go in business as part owner of a shop.
