I have (and carry) an 38-0 daily as a BUG. It belonged to 4 cops before it ended up in my hands.
This gun has been there, done that, and still looks good to me. It has some dings, and the anodized finish is worn, but no worse than a blued gun would be after that many miles....plus no rust...I'm very happy with how well this gem has held up (can you tell?).
How do the new alloy finishes compare?
Does a 438's finish hold up and better or worse than a 638's finish after a decade or two of sweaty summers?
How about the high dollar Sc guns...is their finish more or less durable?
I have no way of refinishing an alloy gun, so I want it to hold up. Does the factory offer refinishing of the alloy guns?
