About a year ago I found what i though was a # 3 Smith in the pawn shop. turned out to be a copy made in Italy. It is in 10.35mm cal. Well Saturday i found another one at the Birmingham
gunshow but this one is in 32-20 cal.The 32-20 is a dead ringer for a #3 but the 10mm has some changes to it on the grip it has part of the frame below the grips and a lanyard ring. Also the hump at the top of the grip is more round. Other than that it is a very close copy of a Smith. I have put my real #3 ( 44-40 cal.)in the photo so you can see how close these are.The 32-20 has a 5&3/4 barrel the 10mm has a 4&7/8 barrel and the real Smith is 4 in.
There is no markings on the 32-20 but For 32 Winchester CTG. on the left side of the barrel. But the 10mm has model of 1916 on the top of barrel
And E TETTONI BRESCIA on the left side under the cylinder. They are both well made and have horn grips on them ( that is how i know they were from the same maker the grips are the same).
O by the way if anyone has a 10.35mm you can shoot it.Buy a box of 44 Russian then lub and size them in a 303 British Rifle sizing die.
makes a great 10.35mm round. Just though these were neet.(and Cheap).hope you enjoy seeing them.papabyrd
