Spent a lot of time trying to find a 625 at a good price. Finally found one for a fair price; market value.

Then last night I found one for $75 less! Same -8. Guy was a trade-in/upgrade/buying addict and didn't even live fire!

Had no choice but to take it home. :D

You made the right decision. You have two hands after all.

Yep, that's me as well, can't tell you how many times it's happened. Kinda like a dam breaking.
I think it's the same odd principal as loosing a tool, buying a replacement and then finding the original right where you where going to put the new one.

Here is a set of 624 6 1/2"ers. I looked for years for a nice example, finally found one here on the board, sent funds and the very next week found another one in a shop in Knoxville, $50 less and with a custom holster. Not knocking the seller on the board, his was NIB and the gunshop find was fired lightly, so I'm happy:

I've posted this pic before so sorry to bore you all, but they do look nice.
Glad to know you got two of them now, no sense having one carry all the load.
It is tricky explaining to the Wife tho isn't it?

When it rains it pours. 2 weeks after buying the 1917 reissue here's a commercial sitting in the used case in decent shape at my price (cheep). I'd only been looking for 20 years.

Gotta say, I really like the photo technique, Chuck. The subjects aren't too shabby, either...

I will never own two of the exact same gun, ever. That includes all dash variations. I just don't get it. My money is better spent on other things, one of them being a different gun innate use or desire for.

To each his own.
