Am I a bad man for selling my 686 no-dash?

Since you still have the 586 I guess you'll be ok, LOL. No reason to keep something you don't really care for to get something you like. I know plenty of guys that don't care for the stainless guns & only keep the blue versions (I'm the same way with nickel, don't really care for them & trade them away whenever I end up with one).

I think you did fine as long as both parties are happy. You said you only shot about 100 rnds through the 686. You will probably shoot your new 9c more than that on the first range trip. Sounds like a good deal to me!

So, am I facing damnation for getting rid of a 686 no-dash and replacing it with a piece of plastic? :D

HE doesn't care what kind of gun you carry, so you're not Damned, but you might get banned from this forum if you do it twice in a twelve month period.

;)

Steel for plastic,Never a good idea.In a matter of time all the plastic gun owners will finally wake up a realize why do I own a chunk of plastic when I could have a classic steel wheel gun that will out last me and my kids.

How is that high capacity pistol working out for you now that New York has banned magazines over 7 rounds (which don't exist in S&W M&P). Which will you be happier to pass on to your children, the finely machined 686, or the lump of Tupperware which you will never be able engrave, hang on the wall or put fine rare wood grips on? No one can ban the magazine on my 686s.

See post #8.
I LOVE wheel guns. Just not stainless ones. :D

Plus my M&P isn't high capacity, it's actually less than standard capacity with 10 round mags.

Our state dictator's new law says I can keep my 10 round mags, as long as I promise to only load 7 rounds into it.

Mr. Coumo, I promise!
Scout's honor. ;)

For my part, I will let you off this time - but ONLY because it was a stainless model and you already have your "hybrid" 586. But do watch your step in the future or we will have to wonder about you...

Good luck with your 9c. :)
