I just received a computer generated call from "Publishers Clearing House". According to them, if I call the number they left me, I will be able to receive my share of the 2.5 million in prize money. All I have to do is call them and give them my banking information in order to receive it. Then I decided that making that call for a mere 2.5 million just wasn't worth my time. I'm holding out for the big money.;) I still have the number on my caller ID if anyone would like it.

Sounds like a phishing scam to me. They just want access to your bank account in order to drain it. I can't stand these scammers who simply prey on people because they think they can get away with it. Life was so screwed up when I grew up in the '60's, but I would depart the 21st century and go straight back in a time machine if I had the power.

Why just today, I've won a 170 piece tool kit for being a loyal Harbor Freight customer. Oddly enough, I don't ever recall having been in a Harbor Freight store. Got the same prize from Ace Hardware too. Plus a lawn tractor from Lowes, 10,000 free air miles from Southwest Airlines, and a Partridge in a Pear Tree from Wal-Mart I think it was.

As soon as the King of Buruindie sends me that $25 Million, I'll get back to all those people.

How Publisher's Clearing House makes prize payments. from the "net: "Prize checks are sent via First Class U.S. Mail for prizes under $600.00 and via overnight mail (or UPS) for prizes of $600.00 and above. Prizes of $10,000.00 and above may be awarded either by overnight mail (or UPS) or in person by the PCH Prize Patrol, depending on location and availability of the Prize Patrol."

The link if you want to read it from the source: How are winning payments from publishers clearing house made - Google Search

I really thought about calling the number just for the heck of it and giving them all kinds of false information just to see what they would do and how long I could keep them on the phone before they figured it out. I just feel sorry for the people that fall for scams like this.

You could go to a new bank and set up an account with a couple of dollars and see what happens.

roarindan, I'm tired of the "everybody gets a trophy" mentality that is everywhere nowadays. I'm going for the big stuff and the heck with anybody else. Greed is good!;)
