Am I part of the problem?

All I buy/use is CCI mini-mags because of their reliability in various semi-auto 22 rifles. I believe the current price range is stable and what it'll be in the future. That being the case, I watch for whenever Fin Fur Feather outfitters (6 stores in NE Ohio) puts them on sale and then grab some.

My shelves won't be empty. :D :D Larry

As we have seen many times in the past, something will cause another panic. Like the next election or some yet to be known event, with preparation you don't have to get caught up in the next one.

Be the wise ant...

A colleague of mine, years ago, an army reserve sergeant major, in a friendly discussion about stockpiling ammunition, remarked "in a worst-case scenario, how much can you carry?"

If it's 22LR a whole lot of it. Fact is that if SHTF ever does happen I think the first thing everyone should grab is 22LR. Because what caliber you shoot won't matter, what will matter is how many rounds of that caliber you have.

IMHO “when you don’t need it” is exactly the right time to buy ammo.
I'm a living breathing example of that . I got cut short after one of the school shootings and everything went crazy with the ammo market . I paid way too much for .22 ammo but I was nearly out . Since then I've stacked it deep . I have enough to leave to my grandkids .

I have been buying (mainly CCI standard velocity & mag game points since Nov......not a lot but say 500 SV and 100game points each week I have maybe 14k of 22 LR total and 1750 of 22mag. Am I the reason it wont go down in price......and/or people like me buying when they dont need it?

Is that all you have??

Ya know, there is such a thing as not taking your .22 to the range, just like you can stop getting cheeseburgers three days a week or drinking beer. The only thing I'll overpay for is gas because it gets me to work. Nothing else is that vital.

A friend said 2 cheeseburger meals at Burger King set him back over $30. Another friend spent $55 for breakfast for 2 at IHOP.

I don't think ammo's going down any time soon.

Cue the AC/DC up. “Cause I’m a problem child “. Buy what you can when it allows. Nothings ever gonna reset. Unfortunately it’s as good as it gonna be for a long time to come. Didn’t enjoy saying that.

If you're the problem so am I, just bought 1000 federal SPP for $83.00 and 1lb of w231 powder for $44.00 and 100 cci minnie mags for $10.99.
didn't really need any of it but..
I am at the point where after buying 3000 more bullets I should be set for life as far as center fire is concerned and rim fire isn't far behind the center fire. its peace of mind I am buying knowing I am set for life.
