Ameriglo sights?

I’m looking at the Ameriglo Cap sights and Pro I Dot for my M&P 2.0 compact. Which ones do you guys like better? Also do you prefer the orange ring or lime green ring? Thanks!

I like the Pro I Dots. IIRC the CAP sights have no tritium in the rear. I prefer green front as it works better for me-- but I've only tried green or red up front on another pistol experimenting with HiViz lite tubes.

I have a set of I Dots on my Shield 45 and put them on a buddy's M&P40 FS. No issues to date and prefer the 2 dot system vs. 3 dot. In low/no light conditions, seems to be a tad more intuitive to put one dot on top of the other vs. trying to align 3 horizontally.

Big fan of 2 dot sights. Put Pro I Dots on a G27 and Shield .45 I had. I personally prefer the orange up front.
I can really pick the front sight quickly outdoors as well as in.
Pictures of the orange sights usually don't do them justice, in real life they really pop.

Guess I’ll be the odd man out here. I have CAP sights on several of my guns, including my 9c (1.0)- all green.

For me it’s a very rapid acquisition and I’m fine w/out any tritium on the rear sight. Has worked well for me in my IDPA matches, to include dark House stages.

I really like like the Ameriglo sights that came on my Gen 5 G26. Not a huge Glock fan, but the G5’s new barrel, trigger, sights, ambi slide release and new finish saves someone from having to pay big bucks to get the gun they want without making a bunch of mods after the sale.

I have a variety of Ameriglo sights on M&P's and Glocks. I like them all but I never use a tritium dot in the rear sight. I usually use a plain black rear (hakathorn or cap) and a pro-glo front.

If you have ever been through a night shooting course you know that unless you go jogging in sewer tunnels or live in an underground bunker it's very rare you will every encounter such complete darkness that your gun sights are invisible without front and rear tritium dots. And if you do you spend your nights in that dark of an environment better have a flashlight or you are not going to be able to identify your target anyway. A flashlight that will still illuminate a plain black rear.

I have some that are lime green and some that are orange. Can't say I prefer one color over the other or that my eyes pick one color up faster. I do tend to buy the green more often, but can't offer up a good reason why. Maybe they look cooler.

I have the hackathorn set on mine with the orange front sight. I love the orange and prefer a black rear sight.

Trijicon's for me as well. The orange on the front sight really pops during the day, while the rear sight tritium dots are not outlined, so it functions as a blacked out sight in good light.

In low light, the orange ring disappears in favor of the tritium and the rear tritium vials really pop well in low light.
