Yep unless you are interested way inflated prices. Small pistol primers don't seem to be available anywhere.

For the most part. You can still get some things by ordering online, but you'll need to order a decent amount to make uo for the shipping fees. Even then, expect delays and things to be out of stock.

On the plus side, thanks to the economic downturn, Wiis are now somewhat easy to find. You might want to look into getting one along with a zombie shooting game. Better than nothing.

Just as for me, I can get most of what I need if I keep looking, I do, however, find that non+P .38 special is difficult to locate here in the Florida panhandle. I may have to go to Trade Winds near Navarre and see what Miles has in stock.

Was at Cabela's in Lacey, WA yesterday and all ammo seemed to be available. Brick of .22LR for $17.99. Curiously though, they were out of mag loaders.

In a way the shortages are a positive thing. They are making citizens aware of how easily what we took for granted can disappear. This time its volume purchasing and hoarding. By this time next year it will be legislation from obama, Boxer, Feinstein, Schumer, Durban, etc. etc. If you are willing to pay inflated prices for ammo, you should also send some money to the NRA/ILA. They are our only "Hope against Change"

If you're looking for an UpLULA, drop me a line. I have some "In Stock".

Well if you think it is hard to find .38 try finding 7.62x39, I am now on a waiting list for a case at centerfire. Now I'm just hoping that they get some more in before some crazy serialized bullets bill gets passed.

It's Old Mother Hubbard for almost all handgun and .22 ammo in these parts....

I spent six hours driving from place to place and was rewarded with 400rds of 9mm JHP.

Damn glad to get it!

I just checked a half dozen Wholesale sources and only found 9mm at one of them and no 7.62x39mm not available at any. If someone were local to me I'd be willing to provide pricing on the 9mm stuff - it is Winchester 124 & 147 grain bonded JHP in 50 round boxes. I'm not into the idea of messing around with shipping and this particular place doesn't drop ship.

I'll be back on-line in the morning, if anybody is interested in the 9mm ammo offer.

KKG,
I'm "local" and I'd be interested in a thousand in either bullet weight. E mail me at my profile. I'm on a work P/C I'll try to E mail you with 7.62X39 info I got today.

Yes, but I can get anything I want at 3-5 times the cost of two years ago. The reasonably priced ammo disappears before it is stocked on the shelves. Fortunately, since I listened to you all, I will be fine for a long, long time.

So Rick, what your saying is that the "new economy" just had it's first cell split? Barter IS a wonderful thing!

Imagine what it will be like if food and fuel follow the price & availability pattern of ammo and reloading components. Or cash from your bank....

With ammo, the other stuff is available when in short supply.

Just wait a bit. When the panic subsides and the production capacity increases kick in, prices will likely plummet and you'll be able to find whatever you want.
