For practice use any of the less expensive fmj ammo made by the major companies. Win, Federal, Remington, Speer, Fiocci, PMC, S&B.
I do buy online IF the Online price PLUS Shipping is less than what I can find on WalMart. That's the trick. Go online to the various vendors (Freedom Munitions, Target Sports, Ammo-To-Go, etc) and sign up for their email lists. When they offer Free Shipping, or a discount large enough to offset shipping charges, go for it. Otherwise, get to be buddies with your local Ammo Monger (Sporting Goods Manager)![]()
I went looking for ammo at two large sporting goods stores and
was not impressed with their prices.
Even the cheap Blazer throw a ways were $13.99 a box.
Will make a trip to Wally world for a final price check, before
pulling out the wallet. I just want the box but added brass is
always nice, since I load ammo.
