There are some firearms in which high velocity ammo is more accurate than "target" ammo. Every firearm is a rule unto itself.

When I take one of target .22's to the range initially to sight it in, I take about 20 different brands of standard velocity ammo with me. All the way from cheap stuff to stuff that cost me $20.00 a box and shoot some of all of it to see what the rifle shoots best.

That's a good way to test as .22 LR's are very picky about preferred ammo.

Thanks, I am working with a Winchester 52E right now. Today I used Wolf Match Extra, SK Standard Plus and SK Rifle Match and no joy. I had tried some Eley Club and Remington Target. On Monday, I will will use some Eley EPS and Eley Match.
